Quality Selection:

Applicants go through a pre-selection stage where their general qualifications, attitudes and reasons for participating in the programme are identified. Successful applicants then go through a thorough selection process including a formal review board involving corporate and academic representatives. Applicants are assessed on areas including:

Extra curricular and work experience Personal and interpersonal skills
Reasons for participating in the programme  Attitude and adaptability

38 Languages to select from, 80% of candidates are bi-lingual and 80% of candidates speaks level A (excellent) English.

Candidates can be sourced based on continent, region, country, and language speaking area or trade block preferences.

AIESEC’s online search and matching engine ensures that candidate specification matches your company’s requirements/preferences.

Preparation:

All participants of the exchange programmes are put through several months of full preparation process before leaving their home country. Preparation consist of seminars and activities that focus on developing their ability to adapt, integrate, learn and thrive in a different culture and environment. Preparations are namely:

Reception/ Integration:

AIESEC arranges all visas and logistical requirements, receiving the trainee from the airport upon arrival and will be taken to their first day of work and discuss expectations of the trainee, AIESEC and your company.

To ensure that the experience is maximized, every trainee is put through a full integration programme involving AIESEC, your company and the wider community. AIESEC will also arrange/organize service and learning activities to facilitate a quality learning experience for the trainee. These activities w\ill focus on:

  1. Cultural understanding
  2. Personal and professional development
  3. Knowledge on local and world issues
  4. AIESEC involvement
  5. Logistics

Evaluation:

Evaluation of all parties is conducted from time to time throughout the traineeship period to ensure that trainees and your company are receiving the full benefits of the arrangement.

THE SOLUTION

Through our International Traineeship Exchange Program we offer YOUR ORGANISATION the opportunity to ADD VALUE to your organisation through ACCESS to these  YOUNG LEADERS.

Flexible duration of the traineeship:

  • Short term       – from 8 weeks to 12 weeks
  • Medium-term  – from 13 weeks to 26 weeks
  • Long-term       – from 27 to 78 weeks

 

Application Fee:

Application fee of RM 2000, that covers the costs of running the programme.

  • 30% of the fee is used to cover national costs,
  • 30% is used to cover local costs,
  • 30% is put towards the reception of the exchanged professionals and
  • 10% is used for programme development

Allowance:
The basic allowance for an exchange participant is a minimum of RM 2000.
