EYLN 2009 is the fifth year being organized by LC UKM in collaboration with various organizations by their expertise.

Two new elements, Business Challenge Game & Business Idea Presentation, had been added to EYLN 2009 compared to past few years which we aimed to equip both local and international undergraduates, as well as graduates to experience, engage and interact with educational theory of entrepreneurship concerning the process of learning through physical integration into the practices associated with the subject in a virtual setting.

In the year 2009, EYLN was very proud to associate themselves to Sunway Group, as our new Gold Sponsor. Besides that, EYLN 2009 also had Cuscapi and Ranhill to be our Silver Sponsors.

Throughout the process of developing the project, EYLN 2009 managed to introduce AIESEC as an organization and collaborated together with Business Faculty of UKM, endorsed by Rakan Muda sent a number of graduates to attend the conference.

During EYLN 2009 Conference, Speakers with expertise background shared their quality skills and experience with the delegates and, hence, boosting confidence among all the participants to reach for their dreams.Participants were inspired and the conference had ignited their interest in pursuing entrepreneurship.

Even as EYLN 2009 has passed for quite some time, the spirit and impact that it has manage to give to its participants, international facilitators and as well the organizing team still remains strong. The enthusiasm among the participants towards entrepreneurship is indeed remarkable.

The founder of EYLN, MissLow Yoke Yen:" ... the ultimate goal of the project is to help local undergraduates to acquire entrepreneurial skills".

EYLN 2008

EYLN is in its fourth consecutive year being organized by LC UKM in collaboration with General Electric (GE). This time around we had 2 additional partners working with us to achieve the objectives of EYLN and they are MISC Berhad and Money Tree Sdn Bhd.

One new element, Social Entrepreneurship, had been added to EYLN 2008 compared to past few years which we aimed to produce a young generation who are able to recognize social problems that rise gradually alongside the development of the world and create a solution to bring positive change to the society.

Due the magnitude of the project this year, the organizing committee was formed as early as October 2007. The team was then introduced to the flow of the project and the departmental focus for each department was set. Preliminary department planning was also done by the Organizing Committee members. The matching of interns for the project took place simultaneously.

Entrepreneurship In Youth Competition

This year EYLN 2008 initiated a business proposal writing competition that comprises of two categories which are Business Entrepreneurship and Social Entrepreneurship. With a total cash prize of RM5000 that was out for grabs, the competition received good response.

The competition kicked started with the preliminary round of judging where participants were required to present their ideas in front of the panel of judges which comprised of facilitators from General Electrics, MISC Berhad, Money Tree and AIESEC.  The Final 2 Team had another round of negotiation as participants were required to convince the panel of judges that their ideas were worth the full amount the of cash prize.

Realizing possessing entrepreneurial skills was getting more crucial day by day of this fast-developing world, AIESEC UKM, for third time was all set to make a bigger impact to the society.

EYLN 2007 consisted of road shows, exhibition, business plan competition and the finale - EYLN conference.

The project was launched by Datuk Ong Tee Keat, the Malaysia's Deputy Minister of Higher Education in January 2007.
Datuk Ong Tee Keat: ²Ministry of Higher Education in Malaysia is proud that AIESEC is organizing such an event for youth here with Malaysia with their efforts on developing youth personally and professionally, towards creating a positive impact to society particularly in the area of entrepreneurship.

Following the launching was the business plan competition titled Entrepreneurship In Youth Competition. Seeing the significance of ² putting theory into action ², Organizing Committee President of EYLN 2007, Tee Kean Huei, together with his team implemented the competition.

We successfully attracted more than 40 teams made up of 200 participants. In the competition, participants were required to create innovative business plans. The competition played an very important role in providing a more real life learning experience for the participants as they were facing the real panel of judges from corporate world and non-profit organization.

After the business plan competition, we had series of road shows and promotional trip to local universities and private universities and colleges. The main objective of the road shows was to create awareness of entrepreneurship among youth. Later on, we had an Entrepreneurship Exhibition in UKM main campus in Bangi, which is as a sum up of all road shows. In the exhibition, more information regarding entrepreneurship such as types of entrepreneurship, profiles of renowned entrepreneurs, etc, were given out.
Later on in May, same as last two years, believing that conference sets a very crucial platform for participants to discover their potential, we organized a 3-days Entrepreneurship Conference. The conference were attended by 140 participants, the largest number of delegations since year 1, from local and private universities as
well as international participants from Hong Kong and Singapore. We were very delighted and proud that the project has been recognized, not only locally, but internationally.

EYLN 2006 reported in The Star daily newspaper

After year 2005 of great success, AIESEC in UKM, once again, organized the project so that more students would be benefited from participating in the events.
With the similar objective, which was to provide an avenue for the local undergraduates particularly of that in the public universities with the neccessary
talent and soft skills to equip them for a very competitive business world. EYLN 2006
was lead by Siti Salwa Ali.
The year's theme was ''My way to differ", we aimed to promote entrepreneurship as a medium to differentiate oneself from traditional learning cycle provided in local
universities.

EYLN 2006 solidified the foundation with a more detailed and effective conference agenda. EYLN conference in year 2006 were proved pertinet and imperative to undergraduates as it provided education on various topics such as financial management, marketing business product, presentation skills and etc.

EYLN 2006 was able to reach out to more local undergraduates and, also,
undergraduates from private universities and colleges.

EYLN 2005 was kick-started with entrepreneurship road shows, which showcased the multiple facets and opportunities of entrepreneurship. Following the road shows, which travelled to 4 local public universities, the EYLN conference with our event learning partner, General Electric International, GE, took place.
GE provided us with speakers and materials for conference attended by 70 delegates of local undergraduates in their final or penultimate year.

All EYLN talks were complemented by a workgroup session, which was developed by four international graduates from AIESEC's international network, in collaboration with GE speakers. The international interns were part of the organizing committee team of the project and designed and facilitated the workgroup sessions. The workgroup sessions were in the form of simulation as it strenghtened the whole
learning experience of the delegates.

Our greatest hope was that for those who partaked in the EYLN conference would walk out in the end of the conference knowing what and how entrepreneurship can help them to take on life.
